De Rosa ha desplegado sus alas en su nuevo proyecto de fabricación de cuadros de carbono para carretera de alta calidad. Su último modelo, el más impresionante de los Protos, se llama 888 Super King.
La Super King está disponible en versión mecánica y electrónica. Lo que distingue a la Super King de cualquier otro fabricante es el tiempo y la colaboración que se han dedicado a integrar la batería EPS en el tubo inferior de forma impecable. Se ha pensado en cada aspecto, especialmente en la comodidad necesaria para cargar la batería. The RA Perspective

We don't get many framesets through the shop with this kind of backstory. The 888 Super King E was the first production frame to hide a Campagnolo EPS battery inside the down tube, and even years later that engineering solution still feels clever rather than dated — a rubber bung on top of the tube gives you a charging port without ever pulling the battery out.

Because this is a frameset, you're starting from scratch: frame, fork, and nothing else. That's the right call if you already have a groupset, wheelset, and cockpit you like and just want a De Rosa-badged frame under it. It's the wrong call if you're hoping to roll a complete bike out the door. Shimano Di2 compatibility is worth knowing too, since it means you're not locked into Campagnolo just because the battery port was designed around EPS.

The three-fiber carbon layup is where the ride quality comes from — De Rosa mixes stiffer and more compliant fibers by zone rather than using one blanket material, and that shows up as a frame that holds a line under hard efforts without feeling harsh over rough pavement.

Right now it's only in stock in Nero and size 46s, and it's final sale, so there's no returning it once it's built up. At this price against its original $4,495, we'd point this toward a rider who wants a genuine piece of De Rosa's carbon history and doesn't mind sourcing the rest of the build themselves.
