Blackburn Wayside Multi-Tool Info
The Blackburn Wayside Multi-Tool is a kitchen-sink Swiss-Army toolshed, nineteen tools in all, with a difference. The big difference is individual hex-head keys.
That’s right. While they all attach to the unit, they also come loose. The 2, 2.5, 3, 4, and 5mm Allen keys are L-shaped, with the long part featuring a ball-end hex head. This way, it’s easy to fit the tool in tight places without issue.
Most everything else is attached to the body. That includes a hollow 8mm hex key that is hollow inside to put in a long 5mm for extra leverage. There’s also a 6mm hex, a flat head screwdriver, a Torx T25, Torx T30, a serrated knife blade and a multi-use chain tool. The chain tool works on seven through eleven-speed chains. When you take off the chain tool, it doubles as a disc brake spreader and triples as a spoke wrench (two different nipple sizes are accommodated). Finally, they squeeze in a chain assembly hook, so you don’t need to hold the chain together as you’re rebuilding it on the trail.
The tool kit weighs 220g, and measures 53mm wide by 86mm long by 23mm thick.
The Blackburn Wayside Multi-Tool makes sure you’re never left on the trail or road.
