Chaleco Assos Equipe R Primavera/Otoño S11 Info
The Assos Equipe R Spring/Fall Gilet S11 is a race-fit cycling vest built for the shoulder seasons, when a cool morning start can turn into a warm afternoon and getting your layering wrong costs you either way. Assos rates it for cold riding conditions in roughly the 54–68°F range, positioning it as a midweight insulator rather than a full winter vest. The racingFit cut keeps it close to the body, so it layers cleanly under a jacket or works on its own once the temperature climbs.
Assos splits the insulation by zone instead of wrapping the whole vest in one fabric. Thermal RX, a brushed, warp-knit textile, covers the chest and upper back, where wind pressure hits hardest at speed. OSMOS Medium extends over the stomach with a breathable, compressive warp-knit structure, adding warmth to the core without the bulk of a heavier fabric. On the back, a lightweight Stabilizator V11 panel locks in vertical stretch so your jersey pockets don't sag once you've loaded them, while venting excess heat as you work harder. A struzzoKragen collar adds soft insulation around the neck, letting you regulate your own microclimate without unzipping and exposing your neck to cold air. Three perforated stretch pockets round out the storage — elastic enough to hold gear securely, with perforations built in for airflow.
The AEPD 11 racingFit silhouette wraps the body in 360-degree compression, a cut Assos developed with WorldTour team feedback rather than a generic vest pattern. A zeroPressure waistband uses a soft, highly elastic material at the hem, which keeps the vest from binding or rolling up under hard efforts — a common failure point on cheaper gilets. Between the compressive fit and the zoned insulation, this is a vest built to disappear during a hard group ride or race effort, not one you'll be adjusting every few minutes.
