The Q36.5 UNIQUE Bib Shorts - Womens are built around a single idea: remove every seam that doesn't need to be there. Q36.5 describes them as its first bib shorts with a three-dimensional seamless, one-piece construction, and the result is a women's cycling bib short that Q36.5 calls a "second skin" fit. The fabric blend is mostly polyamide and elastane, with small amounts of acrylic, polyester, polyurethane, and silver, and the pre-formed shape is intended to suit all riding positions. They are made in Italy, and they are one part of Q36.5's 3-Points of Contact system, which is the brand's way of thinking about how the saddle, bars, and pedals meet the rider.
The Fusion Chamois is the centerpiece. It's a women-specific version of Q36.5's fusion chamois system, which combines sewn and thermo-molded padding in one pad. At the front, the sewn perineal area uses 120 kg/m³ open-cell foam, while the rear, where your sit bones carry load, uses smooth thermo-molded pads in multiple densities. Thickness varies across the pad, so support goes where it's needed and the rest stays thin and breathable. Q36.5 also reinforces the saddle contact zone with Cordura polyamide, which adds durability where friction is highest.
The rest of the bib is designed around airflow and stability. Ribbed panels of varied density over the abdomen are there to improve ventilation, and the quadriceps pattern uses graduated compression that decreases from hem to top. The lower back gets the densest weave in the garment for support, and Q36.5 says that panel uses pure silver thread. The straps are a minimal tubular mesh with reverse tubular construction, which Q36.5 designed to keep seams inside and off the skin. Leg hems are laser-cut and taped, giving a raw-cut edge that avoids the elastic bands that can dig into the thigh on long days.
The UNIQUE bib shorts are sold in Black, in sizes XS, S, M, and L. The size chart runs from XXXS to L, with the XS at a 90 cm (35.5 in) hip and the L at 106 cm (41.5 in).
