The Wilier Filante SL is designed to make aero road performance more accessible to a larger group of riders. It mimics the geometry of the Filante SLR which can be seen on the World Tour. The difference is the use of different composite materials used to make up the frame module, resulting in a less expensive bike with the same world class characteristics. It uses a monocoque carbon frame with an NHU MOD and high impact strength compound. This results in the same aerodynamic performance as its professionally used relative but without the huge price tag. The Wilier Filante SL brings speed to more riders.
The frame of the Fliante SL is still made with the monocoque carbon fiber you expect from a high quality Wilier bike. In fact, the changes made from the SLR only add about 150 grams to the entire frame. These changes are not simply downgrades for a lower price. The new frame materials make the bike more comfortable and less extreme, catering to the needs of the everyday rider. They are also made with high-strength compounds, resulting in a durable frame. Aerodynamic speed has never been more comfortable and accessible than with the Wilier Filante SL.
Smart integrated is incorporated on the Filante SL to keep things looking clean and functioning optimally. There are no visible cables, keeping a sleek cockpit and proper aerodynamics. This version is equipped with a Shimano 105 Di2 groupset for reliable and efficient 12-speed electronic shifting. An alloy vertical tube and aero handlebar keep the integration and aerodynamic profile of the FIlante line while keeping the price down. Price becomes even better with the addition of alloy wheels. The goal of the Filante SL was to perfectly blend speed, price, and ride feel. Riders can expect the easiest performance for their money with the Wilier Filante SL.
