Cervelo P5 Dura-Ace Di2 Bike Info
The Cervelo P5 Dura-Ace Di2 Bike is Cervelo's dedicated triathlon and time trial machine, built around a carbon frame and the all-carbon bayonet P5 fork. This build puts Shimano's top-tier Dura-Ace Di2 R9250 electronic drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes and a deep Reserve carbon wheelset on that frame. It is a complete race-day package, and it arrives with the storage and hydration hardware already fitted.
A Frame Built Around Fit and Speed
Cervelo has spent decades on triathlon geometry and aerodynamics, and the P5 is the product of that work. Its tube shapes are designed to keep the rider's position the priority and let the frame work around it. The fork is a bayonet design, and the one-piece Cervelo EX16 cockpit pairs a carbon aero riser assembly with an adjustable extension assembly and the HB15 carbon basebar. Cervelo says the current frame uses a fastback seat stay design intended to take some of the harshness out of the rear end without giving up lateral stiffness for power transfer.
Fit matters more on a tri bike than on almost any other, and the cockpit gives you room to work with. The extensions can be adjusted for height and angle, so you can settle into a position you can hold through a full bike leg and still run off the bike. Six frame sizes, from 48cm to 61cm, cover a wide range of riders.
Dura-Ace Di2, Disc Brakes and a Power Meter
Shifting comes from Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9250, a 12-speed electronic group with a 54/40 crankset and an 11-34 cassette. That gearing handles flat, fast courses and gives you somewhere to go when a half-distance run of rolling hills shows up. The levers are Dura-Ace Di2 R9180, and bar-end shifters on the extensions let you change gear without leaving the aero position. Shimano R9180 hydraulic disc calipers and CL900 Centerlock rotors give predictable stopping in the wet and on long descents, where rim brakes lose their bite.
The crankset carries a 4iiii Precision Pro dual-sided power meter, so you get left and right power data without adding a part. If you pace by watts, that matters on race day, where holding steady output through the bike leg decides the run. A CeramicSpeed SL bottom bracket sits in the BBright shell.
Reserve Wheels and Tires
The wheelset is Reserve 77TA up front and 88TA in the rear, on DT Swiss 180 hubs and tubeless compatible. The deeper rear rim suits the way air moves around a rider and frame on a tri bike. Vittoria Corsa Pro TLR G2.0 tires in 700x29 come fitted, and the frame has clearance for tires up to 700x34. That gives you room to tune width and pressure for rough pavement and to shave rolling resistance on a poor road surface.
Storage and Hydration Included
Triathlon means carrying your own fuel and tools. The build includes the Cervelo P5 stem storage, a Smartpak 400 top tube storage bag, an aero water bottle with cage, a rear hydration mount and a Profile Design ASC computer mount. The Fizik Transiro Aeris LD R1 saddle is a tri-specific design for a forward, rotated position. Pedals are not included, so you can fit the ones you already race.
At $14,500, the P5 Dura-Ace Di2 is Cervelo's flagship tri build. It suits the athlete who wants a bike ready for a full-distance or half-distance race with no parts swaps, and who values a fit-first cockpit and a power meter that comes with it.
