Cervelo P Ultegra Di2 Bike Info
The Cervelo P Ultegra Di2 Bike is a triathlon race machine built on the aerodynamic foundation of Cervelo's P5, the time trial platform the brand developed through extensive wind tunnel testing and World Tour racing. The P Ultegra Di2 carries that pedigree into a triathlon-specific build, pairing a full carbon frame and fork with the fit flexibility and race-day storage that long-course and draft-legal triathletes actually need on the bike.
The all-carbon frame uses a tapered P-series fork with a D-shaped steerer tube, which mates to a round stem interface. That design lets riders customize their basebar setup independently of the frame's aero shaping, so a fit change doesn't mean sacrificing the bike's aerodynamic profile. Cable routing stays tucked and clean throughout, and the cockpit itself is built around a Profile Design Wing Evo aerobar system on a 52ASA assembly, matched to a Profile Design WING bearing cap headset engineered specifically for the P-series platform.
Shifting runs on Shimano's Ultegra Di2 R8150 electronic derailleurs, controlled through Dura-Ace Di2 R9180 shifters for crisp, consistent gear changes under race fatigue. The Ultegra R8100 crankset runs a 52/36 compact chainring setup paired with an 11-30 Ultegra R8100 cassette, giving triathletes a wide enough range for rolling courses without giving up top-end speed on flatter bike legs. Built into the crankset is a 4iiii Precision Pro GEN3+ dual-sided power meter, so pacing data is there from the first pedal stroke — no separate power meter purchase or install required. Vision TC60 i23 wheels handle the aero load on both ends, wrapped in Vittoria Corsa N.EXT TLR G2.0 tires in a 700x29 width that balances rolling resistance with the wider-tire trend now common across TT and triathlon racing.
Triathlon racing runs on logistics as much as watts, and the P Ultegra Di2 is built around that reality. In-frame storage with a removable hatch keeps a spare tube, multi-tool, and CO2 canister out of the wind without needing an aftermarket bag. A rear hydration mount and integrated computer mount round out the race-day setup, and a Cervelo SP23 carbon seatpost pairs with a Fizik Transiro Aeris LD R3 saddle — a saddle shape designed around the steep, forward-rotated position triathletes hold for hours at a time. Geometry across the size range (48cm to 61cm) uses steep 75-79-degree seat tube angles with head tube angles between 71 and 72.5 degrees, and stack height that extends to 53mm with included spacers for riders who need a taller front end without altering the frame's aero lines.
This is a bike for triathletes who are serious enough about the discipline to want a dedicated race platform rather than a road bike with clip-on bars. The electronic drivetrain, built-in power meter, and P5-derived aero frame put it squarely in the category of bikes meant for athletes training with structure and racing with a time goal in mind — Ironman, 70.3, or draft-legal short course. Available in Abyss and Haleakala colorways.
