Cervelo P Rival AXS Bike Info
Cervelo P Rival AXS Bike gives you the same P-Series frame that Cervelo built as a triathlon-specific descendant of its P5 time trial bike, at the most accessible price point in the lineup. The frame carries over the racing and wind tunnel development behind the P5 while adding features aimed at non-drafting triathlon rather than draft-legal TT racing. This build pairs that frame with SRAM's wireless Rival AXS drivetrain, priced at $6,950.
The fit flexibility that sets the P-Series apart from most triathlon bikes is unchanged at this build level. The fork uses a D-shaped steerer tube with a round stem interface, so you're not locked into a proprietary one-piece cockpit — you can run whatever basebar and extensions fit you, and swap them later if your position changes. Cervelo also carried over the increased tire and wheel clearance, cleaner cable routing, and internal frame storage from the rest of the P-Series lineup, with dedicated in-frame roll storage for an inner tube and a flat kit.
SRAM's Rival AXS groupset runs a single 48t Aero chainring rather than a two-ring setup, paired with a 10-30, 12-speed cassette — a narrower range than the Force-level build in this lineup, but still enough spread for most non-drafting triathlon courses, which rarely demand the wide gearing a gravel or mountain bike needs. Shifting happens through SRAM AXS Blip controllers mounted on the aero extensions, so you can shift without leaving the aero position, and brake levers are integrated through a Riderever Triva carbon lever built specifically for AXS Blip controllers. A SRAM DUB bottom bracket rounds out the drivetrain, with the crank's integrated power meter giving you pacing data for the ride from T1 to T2.
Wheels are Vision's TC60 i23, an aluminum-rim wheelset that trades some of the aero depth and weight savings of a full carbon wheelset for a lower price and added durability — a reasonable tradeoff on a bike most riders will spend hours in the saddle on rather than sprinting. Vittoria Corsa N.EXT tires in a 700x29 tubeless width take advantage of the frame's added clearance. Up front, Profile Design's Wing 20C SuperSonic cockpit gives you an adjustable aerobar setup on a Cervelo ST36 alloy stem, and a Fizik Transiro Aeris LD R5 saddle is shaped for the rotated hip position a triathlon bike puts you in, at a more accessible price point than the R3 spec on Cervelo's higher builds.
Hydration and storage come built into the spec: a rear hydration mount, a Cervelo Smartpak top tube bag, a front computer/accessory mount, a Profile Design Axis Ultimate carbon bottle cage, and the frame's internal storage rolls all come with the bike. This is a bike for an athlete getting into non-drafting triathlon who wants a fit system they can adjust as their position evolves, without paying for the deeper carbon wheels and higher-tier cockpit of Cervelo's more expensive P-Series builds. It's available through RA Cycles in Haleakala, across sizes 48cm to 61cm.
