Cervelo P Force AXS Bike Info

Cervelo P Force AXS Bike is Cervelo's triathlon-specific descendant of the P5, its flagship time trial bike, carrying over the racing and wind tunnel development that made the P5 fast while adding features aimed specifically at triathlon rather than draft-legal TT racing. This build pairs the P-Series frame with SRAM's wireless Force AXS drivetrain and Reserve carbon wheels, priced at $8,900.

The biggest departure from a typical TT bike shows up at the front end. The P-Series fork uses a D-shaped steerer tube with a round stem interface, which means you're not locked into a proprietary one-piece cockpit — you can run whatever basebar and extensions fit you, and change them later if your position or fit needs change. Cervelo also opened up tire and wheel clearance over the previous generation, cleaned up cable routing, and added the brand's first internal frame storage, with dedicated in-frame roll storage for an inner tube and a flat kit, so you're not carrying a saddle bag on race day.

SRAM's Force AXS groupset runs a single 48t Aero chainring rather than a traditional two-ring setup, paired with a wide 10-36, 12-speed cassette — a gearing choice that shows up increasingly on triathlon and TT bikes, since aero venues rarely demand tight cadence jumps and a single ring means one less thing disrupting airflow. Shifting happens through SRAM AXS Blip controllers mounted on the aero extensions via a LEAP TT extension shift set, so you can shift without moving your hands out of the aero position. A SRAM DUB bottom bracket and Force Aero brake calipers on Centerlock rotors round out the drivetrain, with the crank's integrated power meter giving you pacing data for the ride from T1 to T2.

Wheels are Reserve's 57mm front and 64mm rear carbon rims — a deep, aero-focused profile suited to a bike that spends most of its time at speed on relatively flat courses — laced to DT Swiss 350 hubs and tubeless compatible. Vittoria Corsa N.EXT tires in a 700x29 tubeless width take advantage of the frame's added clearance. Up front, Profile Design's Wing Evo cockpit gives you an adjustable aerobar setup rather than a fixed one-piece bar, and a Fizik Transiro Aeris LD R3 saddle is shaped specifically for the rotated hip position a bike like this puts you in, rather than a standard road saddle.

Hydration and storage are built into the spec rather than added on: a rear hydration mount, a Profile Design HSC 250 storage system, a Profile Design Axis Ultimate carbon bottle cage, and a Profile Design ASA computer mount all come with the bike, alongside the frame's internal storage rolls. This is a bike for an athlete who wants a fit system they can actually adjust as their position evolves, without giving up the aero performance Cervelo built the P5 around. It's available through RA Cycles in Haleakala, across sizes 48cm to 61cm.

The RA Perspective

The thing we point out most to customers looking at this bike is the fit flexibility. A lot of triathlon bikes lock you into whatever one-piece cockpit came on the build, which is fine until your position changes or you want a different extension shape. The P-Series' round stem interface means you can swap basebars and extensions without buying a new front end, which matters more than most first-time tri bike buyers expect.

The single 48t chainring took some getting used to on our own test rides. It's less gear range than a standard double, but on the flat, steady-state courses this bike is built for, we didn't miss the extra top end, and the wide 10-36 cassette still covers real climbing if your course has any.

The in-frame storage is genuinely useful rather than a marketing checkbox — being able to tuck a tube and flat kit inside the frame instead of running a saddle bag cleans up the back of the bike and removes one more thing creating drag.

We'd point this bike at an athlete racing non-drafting triathlons who wants a fit system that can evolve with them, backed by wheels and a frame built around the same aero program as Cervelo's World Tour TT bike.
