Scott Sports was founded in 1958 by Ed Scott, who invented the world’s first aluminum ski pole. The brand expanded into cycling in 1986, and within three years produced one of the sport’s most consequential innovations — the aerodynamic handlebar used by Greg LeMond to win the 1989 Tour de France. On the mountain bike side, Nino Schurter has won multiple MTB World Championships aboard the Spark RC, and Scott has accumulated dozens of World Cup wins in cross-country racing.
