The frame and fork are built from Plasma 6 HMX Carbon, Scott's top-tier carbon grade, with every tube profile, junction, and surface transition refined to manage airflow around the rider-bike system as a unified whole. HMX is Scott's highest-modulus carbon designation, used here in both the main triangle and the fork — a stiffness profile that translates directly into efficient power transfer when you're holding a sustained effort in the aero position. Triathlon aerodynamics are a full-system problem: the athlete, cockpit, frame, and wheels all contribute to drag, and the Plasma RC's development addresses each element in relation to the others rather than optimizing the frame in isolation.

The geometry is built for triathlon racing rather than adapted from a road platform. A 75.2-degree seat tube angle — held consistent across all five sizes from XS through XL — places you in a forward, hip-open position that supports sustained power output through long bike legs while keeping the legs available for the run. Tires are Schwalbe Pro One Aero TL-Easy at 700x28 — tubeless-compatible and paired with Schwalbe Aerothan tubes as a backup option. Aerothan is Schwalbe's TPU-based tube material, lighter than standard butyl and better suited to holding pressure over race duration. The 28mm casing provides enough contact patch to absorb surface variation across varied pavement while maintaining low rolling resistance over distance.

The Syncros Belcarra 1.0 TRI saddle is purpose-designed for the forward, rotated-pelvis position the geometry targets — a meaningful detail when the difference between holding an aero position for three or four hours versus folding out of it early comes down to whether the saddle actually supports that position.
