Scott Addict RC 10 Bike is built around the same HMX carbon chassis that anchors Scott's entire Addict RC lineup, from the RC30 up through the flagship RC Pro. That shared frame platform means this road bike gets the range's core engineering rather than a diluted version of it, wrapped around a build kit that leans on Shimano's electronic Ultegra groupset for shifting and stopping power.
The Addict RC frame uses Scott's HMX carbon fiber, a high-modulus blend engineered to shed weight without giving up tensile strength. A medium frame is claimed at 650 grams with a 295-gram fork, a meaningful drop from the previous-generation Addict. The tubes carry an airfoil profile throughout, shaping the frame for aerodynamics and stiffness at the same time rather than treating them as competing goals. At the rear end, Scott uses a sandwich dropout where the derailleur hanger slots into the frame before the thru-axle locks it in place, a detail designed to add strength and durability where road bikes typically take the most abuse. Braking is handled by Ultegra R8170 hydraulic disc calipers with 160mm and 140mm rotors front and rear. Syncros supplies the rest of the build: Capital 1.0S 40mm carbon wheels wrapped in Continental Grand Prix TR tires in a 700x30 width, with clearance up to 700x34 if you want more cushion or off-pavement versatility. The Creston iC SL carbon bar-and-stem combo keeps the cockpit stiff and clean, and the Belcarra V2.0 saddle uses a cut-out design aimed at reducing pressure on longer rides.
