Scott Addict 10 Bike is Scott's endurance road bike, built for riders who want race-bike speed without race-bike compromise on long days in the saddle. Where Scott's aero-focused platforms chase pure speed, the Addict line is tuned around rideability, so you're not really choosing between fast and comfortable here.
The frame is Addict HMX carbon, a higher-modulus layup that lets Scott use less material without giving up strength, which keeps the frame light without going to the more expensive HMX-SL fiber found further up the Addict lineup. The geometry runs a longer stack and shorter reach than a full race bike, so you sit slightly more upright, and Scott tuned the carbon layup to flex where it needs to and stay stiff everywhere else. That means it takes the edge off cracked pavement and expansion joints without going soft when you stand up and sprint. A replaceable UDH derailleur hanger and internal cable routing keep the frame current with SRAM's wireless drivetrains and simple to service down the road.
That balance carries over to how the Addict 10 actually rides. It'll hold its own at the front of a fast group ride, climb without feeling like dead weight, and stay settled on a fast descent, but it's just as much at home on a no-drops Sunday spin where nobody's chasing a Strava segment.
Tire clearance opens up to 38mm, wider than most bikes in this category, so the Addict 10 can take a gravel connector or a chip-seal detour in stride, even though it ships with 34mm Schwalbe One tires for road duty. Scott also built storage into the frame itself: a Syncros Save-the-Day Kit tucks a spare tube, tire lever, and mini-pump into the downtube, so a flat thirty miles from home doesn't have to end the ride.
Shifting comes from SRAM's Force AXS E1 groupset, a wireless 12-speed electronic drivetrain that pairs a 46/33 crankset with a wide-range Force XG-1270 cassette running from 10 to 36 teeth, enough spread to spin up a steep climb and still hold tempo on the flats. Hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors front and rear give consistent stopping power in wet weather, which matters more on a bike built for all-day, all-condition riding than it does on something meant only for dry race mornings.
Fulcrum Wind 42 carbon wheels round out the build with a mid-depth rim that balances aero benefit against stability in crosswinds, a sensible middle ground for a road bike meant to be ridden in real conditions rather than just calm ones. Syncros supplies the rest of the cockpit, including a carbon bar, stem, and seatpost, plus a Tofino V2.0 saddle with a central cutout, all specced to work as one system rather than a parts bin bolted to a frame. An Acros AIF-1317 headset finishes the front end.
At $7,999.99, the Scott Addict 10 sits toward the top of the Addict range, and the build backs it up with full SRAM Force AXS, carbon Fulcrum wheels, and a Syncros finishing kit throughout.
