Where the Dogma line is tuned purely for racing, the X Series is designed around all-day comfort and versatility, and the X9 uses Pinarello's top-tier T900 carbon layup — the same grade used on the X7 — chosen for its balance of responsiveness, low weight, and vibration absorption. This build pairs that frame with a full Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, putting it at the premium end of what the X Series offers.
The X9's frame carries over Pinarello's X-Stays 2.0 design, a double-arm, four-point top-stay layout with a lower attachment point that spreads road vibration across more connection points while minimizing rebound, resulting in a smoother, more controlled ride over rough pavement.
