So instead of shrinking a race geometry down, Pinarello started over, developing a frame that keeps its performance DNA intact while opening up the fit for long days in the saddle. At $2,950, the X1 105 puts that approach within reach of riders who've wanted a Pinarello but didn't want to commit to a race bike.
The frame is built from TORAYCA T600 UD carbon with a unidirectional finish, tuned to absorb road vibration rather than transmit it, which is the difference between a bike that wears you down over four hours and one that doesn't. Up front, the X1 105 uses Pinarello's Onda fork, a design the brand has run since 2000 and refined ever since. Its curved blades aren't just a styling signature — they're shaped to sharpen steering precision while damping the shocks that travel up through the front end on rough pavement. Braking comes from Shimano's 105 hydraulic disc calipers paired with 160mm CL800 rotors, delivering the consistent, weather-resistant stopping power that's become the standard for endurance riding. The cockpit is finished with Pinarello's MOST components throughout: an aero-shaped Jaguar XA handlebar, a matching Tiger Aero stem, and Pinarello's own aero seatpost, giving the X1 105 a cohesive, race-bike-adjacent look even with its more relaxed geometry. A MOST Lynx saddle and Ultragrip Evo bar tape round out the contact points.
