The Q36.5 Gregarius Pro Bib Shorts - Womens are the Italian brand's redesigned women's road bibs, built around the idea that the best shorts are the ones you stop noticing. Q36.5 rebuilt them from the ground up for 2025, and every component is made in-house. The result is a road cycling bib short aimed at riders who want support without the feeling of being held in.
A pattern with as few seams as possible
Q36.5 describes the Gregarius Pro as an ergonomic, minimalist design. It uses four different fabrics and the least stitching the brand could manage, which reduces the seams and overlaps that cause rubbing on long rides. Together with the chamois, Q36.5 says the pattern is meant to give an unrestricted, "not-even-there" feeling on the bike without giving up muscular support.
The fabric is 71 percent polyamide, 26 percent elastane and 3 percent silver. Q36.5 lists the weight at 150 grams in a size medium and says the shorts are made in Italy. The brand also makes claims about the silver content and a body temperature stability rating of +18 degrees C. These are Q36.5's own figures, and we have not tested them.
The Q LAB Air chamois
The pad is the Q LAB Air chamois, which Q36.5 designed with two separate layers that move independently as your position on the bike changes. The cover is a single layer of fabric with no lamination or foam, so it dries quickly and breathes in hot weather. Underneath, a C-shaped foam pad is built directly into the pattern of the shorts, which Q36.5 says creates a single plane from the straps to the groin. The aim is a pad that stays put and does not bunch as you move between the saddle, the hoods and the drops.
Lumbar support and fit
A lumbar panel made from a high-density woven fabric adds compression over the lower back and glutes. Q36.5 says this panel improves stability. The cut is women-specific, and the RA Cycles size chart runs from XXXS to L, with chest, waist and hip measurements, so you can match your own numbers to the chart. The shorts come in Black, Nautica Blue, Drab Green, Check Grey and Gravel Grey.
Where it fits
The Gregarius Pro is a performance bib at a lower price than Q36.5's top Dottore range, and it is a good match for road cyclists who ride long distances and want a lighter, less restrictive feel. If you want Q36.5's pad and woven fabrics in a pattern that is meant to disappear on the bike, this is the one to look at.
