The Q36.5 Gregarius Grid Skin Winter Bib Tights - Womens are cold-weather bib tights built around a printed protective structure that Q36.5 calls Grid Skin. They combine a fleece-faced winter fabric with a women's-specific chamois and a pre-shaped cut, for riders who want crash protection built into their winter kit.
Grid Skin protection
The defining feature is the GRDXKN Grid Skin treatment, a 4D-printed structure applied to the fabric. Q36.5 designed it to reduce skin injuries in a crash, and states that it has been crash-simulated at speeds up to 100 km/h. That is a manufacturer test claim, and the tights are not a substitute for protective gear. They do add a layer of abrasion protection to a garment you would be wearing anyway, and they can be machine washed normally.
Winter fabric and temperature range
The base fabric is a micro-fleece with a durable water-repellent treatment, which helps shed light rain and road spray without turning the tights into a stiff shell. Q36.5 rates the tights for roughly +32 to +50 degrees Fahrenheit, which covers the range most riders think of as proper winter riding, from near-freezing mornings up to cool, dry days. Below that, you would add a base layer or a heavier jacket. In wet conditions, a rain layer over the top will do more than the water-repellent finish alone.
Women's chamois and cut
The pad is Q36.5's Fusion Lady Chamois, designed for women and made with a combination of sewn and thermo-molded padding. At the front it uses high-density open-cell foam at 120 kg/m3, intended to stay flexible and breathable. At the rear, smooth multi-density thermo-molded pads provide support for the saddle contact area. That mix is aimed at long winter miles, where a pad that is either too thin or too stiff gets noticed after a couple of hours.
The cut is a women's-specific three-dimensional pre-shape with few seams. Q36.5 places the panels to support the muscles through the pedal stroke, and the bib construction removes the waistband pressure that regular tights can put on the stomach while you are folded over the bars.

The Gregarius Grid Skin Winter Bib Tights come in Black and are made in Italy.
