La rueda PRO Textreme Carbon Disc Wheel se basa en la tradición de PRO como fabricante de equipamiento de competición de primer nivel. Esta rueda puede parecer nueva, pero ha sido durante mucho tiempo la opción de los equipos profesionales patrocinados por Shimano, como Team Sky, ya que PRO es una división de Shimano que fabrica ruedas, manillares, tijas y sillines para el gigante de los componentes.

Esta rueda está fabricada principalmente con tejido de fibra de carbono Textreme. PRO la eligió porque el material produce una rueda rígida y ligera. También tiene un llamativo patrón de tablero de ajedrez que se ve bien tanto en posición de pie como en movimiento. En el centro se encuentra el interior de un buje trasero Dura-Ace 9000, conocido tanto por su suavidad como por su durabilidad. La base de la llanta tiene 24 mm de ancho. Por ello, Shimano recomienda neumáticos de 24 mm o más. La forma de la rueda es un diseño mixto plano y lenticular. El lado de la transmisión es plano, para despejar mejor el desviador trasero en el piñón más alto. El lado opuesto a la transmisión es lenticular, para mejorar la aerodinámica. Como resultado de la forma, debes saber que no todas las ruedas encajan. La llanta tiene 24 mm de ancho en la base del neumático, luego se ensancha en el lado izquierdo. The RA Perspective

We sell rear disc wheels to a specific kind of customer: the triathlete or TT rider who has already committed to a dedicated race setup and wants the maximum aerodynamic return from the rear wheel. For a rim brake, quick release frame, the PRO Textreme is that wheel.

The Textreme material is the real story. Spread-tow carbon is not a marketing name for conventional carbon — it's a structurally distinct manufacturing method that produces measurably higher stiffness-to-weight than standard woven carbon layups. The checkerboard pattern is a visual byproduct of the process, but the structural properties are what matter in a disc wheel that needs to spin fast and stay true under race loads.

The Dura-Ace FH-9000 hub is as good as it gets in a production rear hub. The bearings are smooth, the freehub engagement is reliable, and the shell accepts standard HG cassettes without adaptation. These hubs hold up under years of hard use.

The fitment note is not optional. The lenticular non-drive side is significantly wider than a standard rim, and we've had customers for whom it didn't clear their frame. Measure your left chainstay and seatstay clearance before ordering — this item is final sale and cannot be returned.

The wheel ships with a QR skewer, valve extender, and wheel bag. You'll need carbon-specific brake pads on your calipers.
