The Pinarello F1 105 Bike is the entry point into the F series, a lineup built to be equally at home climbing a switchback ascent as it is holding a line on a fast, technical descent — what Pinarello calls all-round performance rather than a bike tuned for one discipline. It carries the same aero-focused frame architecture found further up the F range, paired here with Shimano's dependable 105 groupset and a build kit that keeps the price approachable. For a rider stepping up from an entry-level road bike, the F1 105 offers real aero engineering and hydraulic disc brakes without the cost of the carbon wheels or electronic shifting found higher in the range.
The frame is molded from Torayca T600 UD unidirectional carbon with internal cable routing and a UCI-approved, Italian-threaded bottom bracket shell. Pinarello reshaped the down tube with reduced wall thickness to cut drag, widened the head tube's surface and softened its lines to balance stiffness against airflow, and slimmed the Aero Keel bottom bracket junction compared with the flagship Dogma F for a cleaner look without giving up structural rigidity. The F Onda fork uses a 47mm rake developed with feedback from Pinarello's pro riders, aimed at keeping the bike composed at speed on descents. An elliptical E-TiCR headset — narrower at the top, wider at the bottom — lets Pinarello route cables through the front of the steering tube instead of down the sides, trimming head tube width without cluttering the front end. A frontal integrated seat clamp finishes the seat tube junction with a cleaner profile and less exposure to road spray and grit.
Tire clearance reaches 32mm, wider than many race frames allow, giving the F1 105 room to run larger rubber for grip and comfort on rough pavement or long days in the saddle without working against the frame's aero intent. This build pairs that clearance with 700x30 tires mounted to MOST Fast 27 aluminum wheels — a wheelset chosen for durability and everyday reliability rather than outright weight, which is part of how the F1 105 holds a lower price than the carbon-wheel builds further up the F line. Reach and stack scale steadily across the F1 105's nine frame sizes, so the aggressive, race-oriented fit position stays consistent whether you're on the smallest frame or the largest.
Shimano's 105 groupset handles the mechanical work throughout. A 50/34 compact crankset paired with an 11-34, 12-speed cassette gives enough range to spin up sustained climbs rather than grinding out of the saddle, and the R7170 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors bring consistent, modulated stopping power regardless of weather. It's the same shift quality and braking feel riders get from 105 across Shimano's current road lineup — mechanical, reliable, and easy to service at any shop — mounted to a frame with genuine competition roots rather than a generic aluminum chassis. Pinarello's own MOST cockpit and Atmos saddle round out the build, keeping the componentry in-house from bar to seat.
The F1 105 fits a rider ready to move past an entry-level bike into a race-shaped frame with disc brakes and real aero thinking behind the tube shapes, without yet paying for the electronic shifting or carbon wheels on the F3 105 Di2 or F5 105 Di2 further up the range. It's available across nine frame sizes from 43cm to 59.5cm, finished in the Spectrum Blade colorway, and suits club rides, local races, and long weekend routes where the road tips both up and down.
