Pivot Shuttle SL/AM Team XX Eagle Transmission Bike w/Range Extender Info
Pivot Shuttle SL/AM Team XX Eagle Transmission Bike w/Range Extender takes the ultralight, all-mountain versatility Pivot built into its Switchblade platform and adds electric assist without piling on weight. Pivot lists the Shuttle SL/AM at under 40 pounds, light for a full-power e-bike, thanks to a carbon frame built around 150mm of rear travel and a Fox Factory 36 fork running 160mm up front. This Team-level build pairs the platform with SRAM's XX AXS Eagle Transmission drivetrain and Bosch's Performance Line SX motor, priced at $13,798.
Suspension runs through Pivot's dw-link design, tuned here for a bike meant to climb efficiently and still hold a line through rough, technical descents. The Fox Factory 36 fork uses a 44mm offset and GRIP X2 damper, while the rear shock is a Fox Factory Float X on sizes S through XL (the XS gets a Float without the X, tuned around that frame's lighter rider weight range). Notably, the XS also runs a mixed-wheel setup — a 29-inch front paired with a 27.5-inch rear — the first time Pivot has offered MX wheels on this platform, aimed at giving smaller riders the same handling and confidence as the 29-inch builds without stretching them into a cockpit that doesn't fit.
The motor is Bosch's Performance Line SX, the lightest and most compact unit Bosch has built, delivering up to 600 watts of peak power and 55Nm of torque from a 400Wh in-frame battery. This build adds the optional Bosch PowerMore 250 range extender — a 250Wh unit shaped like a water bottle that mounts to the frame's bottle-cage bosses and adds about 3.3 pounds, extending range on longer days without the bulk of a bigger internal battery. The Bosch x Pivot Flow app connects to the system and gives you seven ride modes, including Turbo, Sport, Tour+, eMTB-shortcrank, and a Race mode unlocked on Team-level builds like this one, along with maintenance reminders and real-time range estimates.
SRAM's XX AXS Eagle Transmission handles shifting without a derailleur hanger to bend or break — the derailleur mounts directly to the frame and shifts electronically through a single AXS Pod controller, running a 10-52 12-speed cassette that covers an unusually wide gear range for the steep, technical climbs an e-bike like this gets pointed at. A Praxis Carbon eCranks E-MTB crank spins a 34t chainring, and SRAM Motive Ultimate 4-piston brakes on 200mm HS2 rotors provide the stopping power to match the extra weight and speed a motor adds to a mountain bike.
Reynolds Blacklabel Trail Pro wheels laced to Industry Nine hubs carry Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tires front and rear, a proven combination for traction on loose and technical trail. A OneUp V3 dropper post (travel scaled by frame size) and Pivot's own Phoenix-brand cockpit — carbon bar, stem, grips, and saddle — round out the build. This is a bike for a rider who wants enduro-capable geometry and real technical control from an e-bike that doesn't ride like it's carrying an extra motor and battery. It's available through RA Cycles in Brownstone, Jaclyn Purple, and Gloss Grey, across sizes XS through XL.
