Pivot Shuttle SL/AM Pro X0 Eagle Transmission Bike w/Range Extender Info

Pivot Shuttle SL/AM Pro X0 Eagle Transmission Bike w/Range Extender carries the same lightweight enduro-e-bike platform as Pivot's Team-level Shuttle SL/AM builds, with a component spec that trades some carbon and top-tier finish for a lower price without touching the frame, suspension, or motor. Pivot builds the Shuttle SL/AM around the same all-mountain versatility that made its Switchblade platform a favorite, then adds electric assist while keeping total weight under 40 pounds. This Pro-level build pairs the carbon frame with SRAM's X0 AXS Eagle Transmission drivetrain and Bosch's Performance Line SX motor, priced at $11,798.

The frame and suspension are identical to the higher-priced Shuttle SL/AM builds: 150mm of rear travel through Pivot's dw-link suspension design, paired with a Fox Factory 36 fork running 160mm of travel, a 44mm offset, and a GRIP X2 damper. The rear shock is a Fox Factory Float X on sizes S through XL, with the XS running a Float without the X, tuned for that frame's lighter weight range. The XS also gets a mixed-wheel setup — a 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear — the first time Pivot has offered MX wheels on this platform, built to give smaller riders the same handling as the 29-inch sizes without an oversized cockpit.

Power comes from Bosch's Performance Line SX motor, the lightest and most compact unit Bosch makes, delivering up to 600 watts of peak power and 55Nm of torque from a 400Wh in-frame battery. This build includes the Bosch PowerMore 250 range extender, a 250Wh unit shaped like a water bottle that mounts to the frame's bottle-cage bosses and adds roughly 3.3 pounds, extending range on longer rides without a bigger internal battery. The Bosch x Pivot Flow app connects to the system for seven ride modes — Turbo, Sport, Tour+, eMTB-shortcrank among them — along with maintenance reminders and real-time range tracking.

SRAM's X0 AXS Eagle Transmission handles shifting the same way the brand's top-tier XX Transmission does: the derailleur mounts directly to the frame with no hanger to bend, and shifts electronically through a single AXS Pod controller across a 10-52, 12-speed cassette. The difference at this build level shows up in the finishing details — a Praxis Alloy eCranks E-MTB crank in place of carbon, and SRAM Motive Silver 4-piston brakes instead of Ultimate, still running on 200mm HS2 rotors. Shifting performance and gear range are the same as the pricier builds; what changes is crank material and brake lever finish, not the mechanism that actually shifts under load.

Wheels here are DT Swiss XM1700 alloy rims on DT Swiss 350 hubs, a durable, more affordable alternative to the carbon Reynolds wheels on Pivot's Team-level build, wrapped in the same Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tires front and rear. A OneUp V3 dropper post and Pivot's Phoenix-brand cockpit — carbon bar, alloy stem, grips, and a Pro-level WTB saddle — round out the build. This is a bike for a rider who wants the Shuttle SL/AM's enduro-capable frame, motor, and drivetrain without paying for carbon cranks and a lighter wheelset. It's available through RA Cycles in Brownstone, Gloss Grey, and Jaclyn Purple, across sizes XS through XL.

The RA Perspective

The frame, motor, and drivetrain on this build are functionally identical to what you get on the Team-level Shuttle SL/AM — same dw-link suspension, same Bosch SX motor, same SRAM Eagle Transmission mechanism that shifts under load without hesitation. What's different is weight and finish on a handful of parts: an alloy crank instead of carbon, alloy DT Swiss wheels instead of carbon Reynolds, and Motive Silver brakes instead of Ultimate. None of that changes how the bike rides on the trail.

Where you will feel a difference is wheel weight. The DT Swiss XM1700 alloy rims are noticeably heavier than the carbon wheelset on the Team build, which shows up most in how quickly the bike changes direction and how it feels accelerating out of tight corners. On a bike this capable of technical descending, that's a real tradeoff, but it's also the easiest upgrade to make later if it starts to bother you.

The X0 Eagle Transmission shifts exactly like the XX version — SRAM built the shifting logic the same way across the Transmission lineup, so you're not giving up performance there, just carbon fiber and a lighter part count.

We'd point this build at a rider who wants everything that makes the Shuttle SL/AM ride the way it does, and would rather put the savings toward a wheel upgrade down the line than pay for it at purchase.
