Pivot Shuttle AMP'd Ride GX Eagle Transmission Bike Info
The Pivot Shuttle AMP'd Ride GX Eagle Transmission Bike is Pivot's trail e-bike built around the Avinox M2S drive unit, a motor system that hardwires directly into SRAM's Eagle Transmission drivetrain rather than running as a separate electrical system bolted alongside it. Pivot built the Shuttle AMP'd for riders who "don't dial it back," pairing a powerful motor with dw-link suspension tuned for aggressive trail and light enduro riding. At $9,499, this GX-level build carries the same motor, battery, and frame technology as pricier Shuttle AMP'd builds with a value-focused component spec.
The Avinox M2S motor weighs 2.6kg and produces up to 130Nm of torque and 1,300 watts of peak power, with a boost mode that pushes torque to 150Nm for up to 60 seconds before settling back to the selected assist level. An 800Wh battery sits behind it, a capacity Pivot chose specifically for its slim cross-section, which lets the frame stay narrower through the downtube rather than bulging out to fit a larger pack. A 508W fast charger takes the battery from empty to 75 percent in roughly 90 minutes, useful for a rider squeezing in laps between other plans.
Motor-Integrated Transmission
Because the Avinox system hardwires directly into the SRAM GX AXS Eagle Transmission drivetrain, this build eliminates the derailleur's separate battery entirely. That integration also enables Avinox SmoothShift, which coordinates motor power delivery with derailleur movement to smooth out shifts under load, a scenario that's historically hard on any drivetrain, e-bike or not. The GX Eagle Transmission derailleur uses SRAM's direct-mount, hangerless interface, bolting straight to the frame at the rear axle for a stronger, more crash-resistant mounting point than a traditional replaceable hanger.
Suspension and Chassis
Suspension runs on Pivot's dw-link platform, delivering 160mm up front through a Fox Performance 38 fork and 150mm out back through a Fox Performance Float X shock. The carbon frame runs a mixed-wheel setup, a 29-inch front wheel paired with a 27.5-inch rear, a combination Pivot uses to keep front-end rollover and stability while tightening up rear-end agility through tight, technical turns. Continental Kryptotal tires in the Super Soft compound wrap DT Swiss E532 rims, a 29x2.4 up front and 27.5x2.6 in the rear, and SRAM Maven four-piston brakes with 200mm rotors front and rear give this bike enough stopping power to match its weight and speed potential on descents.
A Praxis Alloy E-MTB crankset with a single 34t ring keeps the drivetrain simple, running against a 10-52t cassette for a wide enough range to climb steep, technical trail without spinning out on descents. A OneUp V3 dropper post, sized from 150mm to 240mm depending on frame size, and a Phoenix-branded cockpit round out a build focused on control rather than added weight. The frame is available in five sizes, XS through XL, with seat tube angles between 76.1 and 76.5 degrees and head angles between 63.3 and 63.7 degrees, numbers that lean toward stability and confidence on steep, loose descents.
This is a bike for a rider who wants serious trail-to-enduro capability with power assist that doesn't feel bolted on as an afterthought, someone climbing technical terrain that would otherwise require walking, or chasing longer days in the saddle without sacrificing descending performance. The GX Eagle Transmission spec makes that platform accessible at a lower price point than Pivot's higher-tier Shuttle AMP'd builds, without giving up the motor, battery, or frame technology that define the bike.
