Q36.5 Dottore Hybrid Bib Tights Info
The Q36.5 Dottore Hybrid Bib Tights are an ultralight pair of bib tights for autumn training, built for the mornings when shorts are too cold and full winter tights are too much. Q36.5 lists a temperature range of 41°F to 59°F, and at 255 grams in a medium they weigh little enough to stay out of the way on a long ride. Q36.5 says they share the supportive feel of its Dottore Pro bib shorts.
Two Fabrics, One Shell
The tights combine two fabrics. UF-Hybrid Shell PLUS is a dense woven material, and UF-Hybrid Shell is lighter and quick drying. Q36.5 designed the pairing to balance breathability with water repellency and wind control, and says the tights dry within an hour after heavy showers. The composition is 56% polyamide and 36% elastane, with small amounts of polyester, silver, acrylic and polyurethane.
Inside the UF-Hybrid Shell PLUS sits Q36.5's Heat Fiber, made from coffee bean processing residue. Q36.5 says the fiber attracts far-infrared rays to help warm the body, which is aimed at the cool-but-not-cold range these tights target.
Pattern and Chamois
Q36.5 describes the pattern as minimalist, with no front-facing seams, and says it was refined over ten years. The tights are pre-shaped for a cycling position, so they are cut to sit correctly on the bike rather than standing up.
The pad is the Q LAB Air Chamois, which uses two separate layers joined by stitching. The layers move independently as your position changes, and the open-air construction is intended to reduce friction. The tights are made in Italy.
Colors and Fit
The Dottore Hybrid comes in Black, Ice Grey, Nautica Blue, Check Grey, Storm Grey and Supersonic Check, in sizes XS through XXXL. Check the size chart on this page before you order, as Q36.5 sizing is built around a close, supportive fit.
For riders who spend October through early winter on the bike, these tights suit shoulder-season training rides. They sit below Q36.5's heavier winter tights and are meant to be worn without extra layers on the legs.
