DMT WKM1 MTB Shoes Info
The DMT WKM1 MTB Shoes are DMT's winter-specific mountain bike shoe, built for riders who keep training and racing through cold, wet conditions instead of switching to bulkier winter boots. Despite the added insulation, DMT kept the WKM1 notably light and low-volume compared to most winter MTB shoes on the market, so the fit stays close and the shoe doesn't feel like a compromise once temperatures drop.
That balance comes from a double-layer build. The outer shell is a stretch, 3-layer softshell with a DWR coating, keeping water out while still breathing. Underneath, a full Engineered Knit inner layer — DMT's 3D Knit construction — uses a wool and polyester blend to hold in warmth without trapping moisture, so the shoe dries fast between rides instead of staying damp. A water-resistant zipper and sealed seams close off the usual entry points for water and grit, and the stretch ankle cuff adds a silicone grip to keep slush and debris from working their way in at the top of the shoe.
Fit and traction are handled with the same attention. A BOA® Li2 dial delivers a fast, low-profile, micro-adjustable closure, so you can dial in pressure without stopping to fuss with laces or straps in cold hands. The bicomponent composite outsole includes inserts for toe studs, adding grip on ice and packed snow, and 360-degree reflective accents help with visibility on shorter winter days. For XC and gravel riders who don't want the off-season to mean less time on the bike, the WKM1 is built to handle the wet, cold miles other shoes can't.
