The Mondraker Dusty S 580 Flat Bike is the flat-bar version of Mondraker's second-generation Dusty platform, an e-gravel bike built to cover more ground than the term "gravel bike" usually implies. Where the drop-bar Dusty leans into traditional gravel riding, the S build swaps in a flat handlebar and an upright cockpit, positioning the rider for a more trail-influenced feel that suits mixed-surface commuting, weekend exploring, and rides where a dropped position isn't the priority. A 640mm handlebar and an X-Fusion Manic dropper post, adjustable from a 1x remote lever, reinforce that intent, giving the rider more control over body position on descents or technical sections than a fixed post allows.
The frame is Mondraker's Stealth Air Carbon, built around a fully integrated, non-removable 580Wh battery that keeps the silhouette clean rather than bolting a pack to the downtube. It's a purpose-built e-gravel frame, not a mountain bike frame with gravel tires stuffed in: pressfit BB386 EVO bottom bracket, a tapered head tube, internal cable routing, and a 12x142mm rear axle with an integrated dropout speed sensor. Flat mount brake compatibility and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger keep it aligned with current drivetrain standards. The matching Stealth Air Carbon fork carries an axle-to-crown length matched to a 40mm suspension fork at sag, meaning a rider who wants to add a suspension fork down the line can do so without throwing off the bike's geometry.
Power comes from a TQ HPR60 drive unit, a compact mid-motor putting out 60Nm of torque and up to 350W peak power, with assistance scaling up to 200% depending on rider input. It's paired with a TQ HPR Battery V05 rated at 580Wh and a TQ HPR color display for monitoring assist level, speed, and remaining range on the move. That combination favors a natural pedaling feel over the abrupt punch some e-bike motors deliver, which matters on a bike meant to blend into longer, varied rides rather than announce itself with every pedal stroke.
The build kit is drivetrain-focused and practical rather than flashy. An E.13 Piedmont Core E*Spec crankset drives a 42t E.13 Helix Race chainring through a Shimano SLX 12-speed drivetrain, with an SLX M7100 SGS rear derailleur, SLX Rapid Fire Plus shifter, and a wide-range 10-51t SLX cassette that gives plenty of low-end gearing for loaded or hilly riding. Shimano CUES U8000/U8010 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors handle stopping duty. Maxxis Reaver 700x50 tires, tubeless-ready with EXO protection and a 120 TPI casing, roll fast enough for pavement and mixed paths while still handling loose gravel and light trail without feeling out of place.
