Fizik Vento Antares R1 Adaptive Saddle Info
Fizik Vento Antares R1 Adaptive Saddle pairs a carbon-reinforced nylon shell with 3D-printed padding, replacing the open cutout found on most performance saddles with a softer central zone built directly into the pad. Fizik produces the padding using Carbon's Digital Light Synthesis process — digital UV light projected into a liquid resin — allowing multiple stiffness zones to be printed into one piece rather than layering foam. Fizik says the zoned design cuts peak pressure by 60% compared to a standard pad, largely by spreading load across the saddle rather than relieving it at a single cutout.
The shell rides on 7x9mm carbon rails, and the saddle weighs a claimed 180 grams in the 140mm width (185g at 150mm) — light for a saddle with this much cushioning built in. Its low-profile, tapered nose-to-wing shape keeps the saddle out of the way whether you're seated and grinding or up on the nose sprinting, and Fizik built it for performance riding across road racing, cyclocross, and XC rather than one specific discipline.
Available in 140mm and 150mm widths, the Vento Antares R1 Adaptive suits riders who want genuine printed cushioning without giving up the low weight and race-oriented shape of a stripped-down performance saddle.
