We sell this as the entry point into CeramicSpeed's OSPW X line for GRX riders — it gets you the same race-proven cage design and bearing performance as the coated version, just without the extra durability upgrade for riders who don't need it.

The 13/19 tooth pulley sizing is the detail that actually moves the needle here. It's a bigger change than swapping in aftermarket ceramic bearings alone, since the larger pulleys reduce chain wrap angle on top of the lower-friction bearings.

If you're riding in consistently wet or muddy conditions — cyclocross specifically comes to mind — it's worth considering the coated bearing upgrade instead, since standard bearings will show wear faster when they're regularly exposed to grit and moisture. For drier gravel riding, this standard version holds up well.

We'd recommend this to gravel riders running GRX RX820 who want a real friction reduction and don't need the added corrosion resistance of the coated bearing option.
