The RA Perspective

The ADR technology is the reason we point riders toward the RS Alpha over CeramicSpeed's standard pulley options. The debris protection is a real, tested feature — CeramicSpeed developed the solid disc design through cyclocross World Cup racing, which is about as harsh a proving ground for mud and debris as exists in the sport, and it earned an actual design award for the approach.

The reinforced cage matters more than it sounds like on paper. Older OSPW cages could feel a little fragile if you clipped a pulley on a rock or a curb; this version is built to take that kind of hit without needing a replacement.

The Team logo is purely cosmetic — if you'd rather keep a lower profile, CeramicSpeed also sells this same system without the oversized branding, worth knowing if the Team look isn't your style.

We'd recommend this upgrade to Dura-Ace or Ultegra Di2 riders who ride in variable conditions and want the debris protection specifically, not just riders chasing marginal watts on a dry, clean road.
