Cuadro Kuota K-Factor Info

The RA Perspective

We like the K-Factor as a frameset option because it lets someone build exactly the tri bike they want instead of settling for whatever a complete build happens to include. The taller head tube is the detail we point out most — it means a rider can actually hold their aero extensions position without a stack of spacers working against the frame's own aerodynamics, which matters a lot more on race day than most riders expect going in.

The geometry is more forgiving than Kuota's Kalibur, which is exactly the point. We'd steer a rider toward the K-Factor if they're building their first dedicated triathlon bike, coming off a road bike with clip-on bars, or if they know their hip flexibility isn't going to tolerate an extreme race position for a full Ironman-distance ride. It's not the bike for someone chasing the lowest possible frontal area at any cost — for that, the Kalibur is the better frame.

Since this is frame, fork, headset, and seatpost only, it's a good fit for a rider who already has a groupset and cockpit in mind, or who's working with us on a full custom build. Worth knowing going in: this is a final sale item, so it's the right call for someone who's confident in their sizing rather than someone still deciding between L and XL.

We'd reach for this frame for an athlete ready to commit to a real triathlon-specific position without paying flagship pricing to get there.
