CeramicSpeed OSPW X Shimano GRX 810/815 + RX 800/805 Info
The CeramicSpeed OSPW X Shimano GRX 810/815 + RX 800/805 is an oversized pulley wheel system that replaces the stock rear derailleur cage and pulleys on Shimano's 2x gravel groupsets. It runs a 13-tooth upper pulley and a 19-tooth lower pulley, a larger diameter than stock that increases chain wrap and smooths out the sharp deflection angles where a standard derailleur cage loses energy to friction. CeramicSpeed has raced this platform at Paris-Roubaix, Strade Bianche, and CX World Cup rounds — events that put a drivetrain through mud, grit, and repeated hard shifting — and the company states the OSPW X system cuts friction by 35-40% over a stock pulley setup, which shows up as a noticeably smoother-feeling drivetrain on long gravel days.
The cage is handbuilt and custom molded from carbon fiber, keeping the added hardware light — the complete system weighs in at 71 grams — without sacrificing the rigidity needed to hold pulley alignment when the terrain gets rough. Four spring tension settings let you adjust cage tension to match the ride: tighter for technical, chattery descents where chain slap is a concern, or a lighter setting for smoother gravel roads and less resistance. The pulley wheels themselves are aluminum, built to handle the abrasive wear that comes with riding gravel and cyclocross courses rather than clean pavement. Every OSPW X system ships with a 15ml dropper bottle of CeramicSpeed's UFO Tech bearing oil to keep the pulley bearings running free from the first ride.
This particular OSPW X is built for Shimano's GRX 810 and GRX 815 derailleurs along with the Ultegra RX 800 and RX 805, covering both the mechanical RD-RX800 and Di2 RD-RX805 versions. It's designed around Shimano's "2X-specific" derailleur cage geometry — riders running a 1x drivetrain on a compatible derailleur are capped at a 36-tooth cassette. For anyone racing or logging serious miles on a GRX-equipped gravel bike, the OSPW X is a direct, bolt-on upgrade over the stock cage and pulleys, and it comes in Black, Red, and Gold to match the rest of the build.
