The Selle Italia SLR Endurance Elite Saddle takes the SLR race saddle and adds padding for long days. Selle Italia builds it on the same SLR platform and keeps the responsive feel of that shell, but extends the padding and adds gel inserts in the high-impact zones. The goal is a road saddle that spreads pressure over a larger area, so you tire less on multi-hour rides.

The nose is wider than on the standard SLR, which Selle Italia says gives more support and stability on steep, sustained climbs, where riders tend to slide forward on the saddle. Dimensions are 130 x 245mm for the S3 and 145 x 245mm for the L3, so pick the width that matches your sit bones rather than defaulting to the size you have always ridden. Rails are 7mm round tubular steel, which fits standard seatposts and clamps without adapters. Claimed weight is 196 grams for the S3 and 210 grams for the L3, noticeably heavier than a race-focused saddle but light for an endurance model with extra cushioning. If you ride mostly short, fast efforts, the standard SLR is the leaner choice. If your rides regularly run past three hours, or you want a bit more cushion on rough roads, the Endurance Elite is the better match.
