Selle Italia Flite X-Cross Boost Superflow Ti 316 Saddle

The Selle Italia Flite X-Cross Boost Superflow Ti 316 Saddle is a lightweight mountain bike saddle built for off-road riding. It takes the long, narrow Flite shape and adapts it for trail and cross-country use, with a shell made from a carbon composite and a high-grade nylon polymer and rails of Ti 316 titanium tube, 7mm in diameter. Weight is about 216g in the S3 width and 220g in the L3, which keeps it near the light end of the MTB saddle range.

The Superflow cutout runs through the center of the saddle to relieve pressure in the perineal area on long climbs and extended seated efforts. The Boost designation points to the flex built into the shell and rails, which is meant to take the edge off rough, technical trails, and the shell is reinforced with SuperFabric inserts in the areas where a saddle takes wear from crashes and brush. Selle Italia says the Ti 316 rails are lighter and more durable than its traditional rails.

The saddle is 250mm long and comes in two widths: 135mm for the S3 and 145mm for the L3. Match the width to the distance between your sit bones for a position that is supportive without chafing on the thighs. The black color is a neutral match for most frames.

It suits cross-country and trail riders who want a light saddle with a pressure-relief channel and some give for rough ground.
