Bjorn Setka Saddle

Bjorn Setka Saddle builds a lightweight road saddle around a hand-laid, high-modulus carbon shell paired with a 3D-printed pad — a combination aimed at real cushioning without the weight penalty that usually comes with it. The shell has a large central cutout for pressure relief, and its 7x9mm oval carbon rails are mechanically inserted into reinforced slots in the base rather than simply bonded on, a detail meant to hold up better over time than adhesive-only construction. Weight comes in around the mid-130-gram range depending on width, putting it among the lighter padded carbon saddles on the market.

The pad itself is produced by Carbon Inc., the same company behind 3D-printed saddle padding for brands like Specialized and Fizik, using a Digital Light Synthesis process that builds a hollow, webbed structure with nine variable stiffness zones. The nose is softer to relieve pressure in an aggressive, low position, while the rear stays firmer for support when you're seated and grinding out a climb. Bjorn developed the zoning using saddle pressure-mapping data rather than a single uniform density.

The Setka is available in 143mm and 155mm widths at 250mm long, rated to riders up to 120kg (plus a 10kg saddle bag). It's a saddle for riders chasing every gram on a race or lightweight build who still want a genuine pad underneath them rather than a bare carbon shell.
