Argon 18 Anti Matter Force AXS XPLR Bike Info
The Argon 18 Anti Matter Force AXS XPLR Bike is the second-tier build on Argon 18's Anti Matter platform, the brand's dedicated race gravel bike built around the idea of "Pure Energy. Perfect Control." Argon 18 designed the Anti Matter for riders who prioritize speed, efficiency, and control on rough, unpredictable terrain rather than smooth pavement, and this build carries that same frame and geometry with a SRAM Force AXS XPLR E1 groupset, putting a wireless electronic gravel race bike within reach at a lower price point than the range-topping Red build. Raw Magazine called the Anti Matter platform "the fastest gravel bike Argon 18 has ever made" when describing its launch as an aggressive entry into competitive gravel racing.
The full carbon frame and fork use Argon 18's Pro Level Layup construction, the same carbon engineering tier the brand applies across its road race bikes. The Anti Matter's Gravel Geometry is derived from Argon 18's endurance road geometry, itself pulled from the brand's performance road race series, so the riding position favors handling and responsiveness over long-haul comfort. Argon 18's Fit System gives each frame size its own geometry rather than simply scaling one frame up or down, so fit stays consistent across the range. Tire clearance runs up to 55mm, giving riders room to size up when a course or trail calls for more volume.
The SRAM Force AXS XPLR E1 groupset gives this build the same wireless, electronic shifting platform as SRAM's top-tier Red XPLR groupset, built specifically for 1x gravel racing. A 44t Aero chainring pairs with a 13-speed, 10-46t cassette for a wide gear range without a front derailleur to manage, and the crankset integrates a power meter standard. SRAM Force AXS E1 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm Paceline X rotors provide braking control on loose and mixed surfaces. Underneath, a CeramicSpeed SLT headset and T47 Alpha bottom bracket keep pivot points running smoothly — CeramicSpeed builds these by hand in Denmark with a self-lubricating, corrosion-resistant design and a lifetime warranty, carried over from the range-topping build rather than downgraded for this tier.
Zipp's 303 XPLR S wheelset rounds out the build, a wide-rim wheel within Zipp's 303 XPLR gravel platform paired here with Schwalbe G-One RS PRO tubeless tires in a fast-rolling 700x45mm size. Up front, the ATTEN CHB-01 aero handlebar was engineered surface by surface for aerodynamic gains, with an integrated computer mount and a lightweight, one-piece design. The bike ships with a co-developed ATTEN x Apidura frame bag built to sit flush against the frame for a clean profile while staying accessible from the saddle, useful for long gravel races or self-supported days that call for on-bike storage. A Repente Quasar 2.0 saddle and an Argon 18 Anti Matter Aero seatpost with 20mm offset complete the cockpit.
This build is aimed at riders who want the Anti Matter's race-bred geometry and aero-focused design without paying for Argon 18's absolute top-tier spec. It suits competitive gravel racers and serious weekend racers alike — anyone who wants a bike that rides with road-race intent but handles the rough, unpredictable terrain gravel racing throws at it. The Anti Matter Force AXS XPLR is available in Mystic Dune, Iridium Silver, and Sea Foam / Neon.
