The Fizik Antares Evo R3 Adaptive Saddle is a revolutionary piece of equipment featuring 3D printed padding. Advances in 3D printing allowed Fizik to create the saddle they wanted without any limitations imposed by traditional construction methods. The carbon padding was created using Digital Light Synthesis Technology which uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to create parts with the desired properties. This allowed Fizik to create a padding that boasts multiple functional zones within the saddle, each with its own mechanical properties. Each zone has a distinct cushion and purpose, and they all work together to create the perfect saddle.

Countless professional and amateur cyclists tested the Fizik Antares Evo R3 Adaptive Saddle before it went into production so it could be fined tuned for the public. Fizik paid close attention to how pressure patterns changed with different riding styles, bike geometries, and positions. Eventually, they ended with the most comfortable saddle for all riders. In addition to its comfort, the saddle is lightweight, long lasting, and easy to clean. It has been put through tests including accelerated weathering and UV aging to assure a long life. This version is equipped with a carbon reinforced shell to go along with Kium alloy rail. This keeps the saddle light and durable while knocking down the price compared to the R1.
