Whether you're running tubeless, tube-type, or converting a set of wheels for the first time, the Tubes, Sealant & Tape collection at RA Cycles has what you need to set up and maintain any wheel system. The range covers traditional butyl tubes from Continental and Pirelli, lightweight TPU tubes from Silca and Pirelli's P Zero SmarTube line, and the full tubeless stack — sealant, rim tape, and valves from Stan's NoTubes, Silca, DT Swiss, and ENVE.

For riders running tubeless who want additional protection against rim damage and pinch flats, foam inserts from CushCore and Vittoria's Air-Liner system sit inside the tire cavity and prevent the rim from bottoming out on hard impacts. CushCore's Pro and EMTB inserts are the standard in mountain biking; the Gravel/CX set and Vittoria's Air-Liner Light cover 700c applications for road and gravel use.

About Tubes, Sealant & Tape

Traditional butyl tubes are the straightforward option — easy to swap roadside, universally compatible, and available in every valve length. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) tubes like the Silca and Pirelli P Zero SmarTube are significantly lighter and pack down smaller than butyl, making them a practical emergency spare even on a tubeless setup. For tubeless, three components are required beyond the tire and rim: rim tape to seal the spoke holes, a tubeless valve, and sealant to handle small punctures automatically. Stan's NoTubes is the benchmark for sealant volume and seal speed; Silca's Ultimate formula is designed to seal larger cuts and work effectively in colder temperatures. Rim tape width must match your rim's internal width — 21mm, 25mm, and 30mm options are available here for road, gravel, and MTB rims.

Stan's NoTubes covers tubeless sealant in sizes from 125ml to 1 liter, plus their own rim tape. DT Swiss and ENVE offer wheel-brand-matched tape compatible with most rims of matching width. Silca covers the premium tier with TPU tubes, Ultimate Sealant, and a dedicated Sealant Remover for cleanup when a tire needs replacing. Foam inserts add a layer of insurance on top of tubeless: CushCore's Pro insert is for trail and enduro MTB, the EMTB variant handles heavier e-MTB loads, and the Gravel/CX set covers 700x33–46mm tires. Vittoria's Air-Liner Light is the road and gravel option, with a foam profile sized for 700c tires from road width to 50mm gravel. Zipp offers a complete tubeless conversion kit for their 808 Firecrest wheels for riders looking for a matched setup.
