The derailleur is the most mechanically complex part of a modern drivetrain — and the one where the difference between tiers is most immediately felt. A flagship electronic rear derailleur shifts with a precision and consistency that a mechanical mid-range unit simply can't match, and the gap between wired Di2 and wireless AXS or WRL has largely closed.
