About Chris King

Chris King Precision Components has been making bicycle components in Portland, Oregon since 1976 — not as a design house that outsources production, but as a manufacturer that controls every step of the process under one roof. Raw materials come from domestic mills, machining is done in-house, and the anodizing that produces those signature colors — 3D Violet, Turquoise, Midnight, Mango — happens on-site. This level of vertical integration is what makes Chris King components rebuildable rather than disposable: replacement bearings, driveshells, and baseplates are available as separate parts, so a Chris King headset or hub bought today should still be running decades from now.
