RA Cycles carries road bike helmets, aero and triathlon helmets, mountain bike helmets, and youth helmets from Giro, Kask, MET, Lazer, Bell, Oakley, Scott, and Mavic. The road lineup runs from everyday training helmets with high ventilation — the Giro Helios Spherical, Giro Eclipse Pro Spherical, and Giro Aries Spherical — up through Kask's Protone Icon and Elemento, which cover the premium road and climbing range. For aero and triathlon, the Giro Aerohead MIPS, MET Trenta 3K Carbon, and MET Manta MIPS offer wind-tunnel-developed drag reduction with varying levels of ventilation depending on conditions and race format. Mountain bike helmets include both trail-open and full-face options — the Giro Montaro MIPS III and Bell XR Spherical cover the trail and enduro range. Bike Helmet Buying Guide

Choosing the right bike helmet comes down to three variables: fit, ventilation, and protection standard. Road helmets prioritize ventilation and weight — more vents mean a cooler ride, though highly vented helmets trade some structural coverage for airflow. Aero and triathlon helmets seal those vents to minimize drag, which measurably reduces aerodynamic resistance in time trials and triathlons at speeds above 25 mph, but runs warmer on long efforts. Mountain bike helmets extend protection at the temples and rear of the skull and typically include a visor for trail debris and sun. MIPS — the Multi-directional Impact Protection System — adds a low-friction slip-plane inside the shell that allows the helmet to rotate 10–15mm on oblique impact, addressing the rotational forces that account for a significant percentage of cycling head injuries. Spherical technology, used by Giro and Bell in their top-tier helmets, achieves a similar rotational compliance through a ball-and-socket liner construction. All helmets at RA Cycles meet applicable CPSC and CE safety certification standards.

Kask leads the premium tier with the Mistral and Bambino Pro for aero riding and the Nirvana for road. Giro’s Aerohead MIPS II is one of the best-ventilated aero helmets available — a genuine step forward from traditional time trial lids. MET’s Trenta 3K Carbon is built around an ultra-light carbon shell with exceptional ventilation for its aero classification.
