The Yeti SB120 T3 is an elite bike for the trail that can accomplish anything from cross country racing to technical trail riding. It is the evolution of the SB115 and is now more capable than ever. This short-travel machine is made to boost your efficiency through every portion of your ride. It can fly up a climb with ease, sprint on a flat, and absolutely crush a descent. Yeti does not believe that bikes have to be pigeonholed into singular categories. While the SB120 is a great choice for cross country, it does not slack at all in other areas. Regardless of what direction you are headed – up, down, straight, or around some curves – the Yeti SB120 will always be fast.
The frame of the SB120 is made with Yeti’s TURQ carbon fiber. This is their highest quality layup available, offering the perfect combination of stiffness and compliance. TURQ is approved by some of the best racers in the world and helps you feel smooth, solid, and aggressive. Yeti’s engineers also refined their layup to keep the frame as light as possible. Their layup also provides the same precise fit and high performance level across all sizes. This means that every rider will have a bike that feels custom made just for them. The Yeti SB120 frame is an innovative piece of all-around performance.
Despite its short-travel categorization, the Yeti SB120 is inspired by longer-legged members of the Yeti family, leading to a great riding experience. Torsional precision and impact clearance have both improved without transferring feedback to the rider. This version is equipped with a Fox Factory 34 GRIP2 fork and Fox Factory Float DPS shock for elite travel at the front and rear of 130mm and 120mm respectively. The redesigned Switch Infinity V2 provides the best riding experience paired with the standard shock. It changes directions as your bike progresses through its travel, creating a tailored anti-squat curve and a fine-tuned leverage ratio. This helps with grip while climbing and supports technical riding. You can expect more useable, active travel and a bottomless feel for smooth riding wherever you go.
The SB120 has a longer reach so you can stay nimble at high speeds. A 66.5-degree headtube angle offers stability for fast riding but promotes maneuverability as well. This is an elite version of the Yeti SB120, equipped with a SRAM X0 Eagle T-Type groupset for revolutionary 12-speed shifting that works without a derailleur hanger. It also utilizes DT Swiss XM1700 Wheels which are professional level. The 29-inch wheels can roll over just about anything and are very lightweight for your cross country needs.
