SRAM XX1 Eagle Quarq DUB Crank Info
SRAM’s XX1 Eagle Quarq DUB crank is a mouthful that will improve your riding in at least a few ways. It’s a spider-based power meter for 1x systems, which will help you train. It has a 28.99mm DUB thru-axle spindle, which is lighter and stiffer and works with all bottom bracket standard. And the size means that it rolls on bigger bearings regardless of the bottom bracket to which it is mated.
The 104mm four-arm spider, which is designed to ideally pair with SRAM’s X-SYNC or X-SYNC 2 chainrings, works with single-ring MTB-oriented chainrings.
Inside the spider are Quarq’s latest strain gauges and circuitry. It features AxCad so you don’t need a magnet to turn it on, 10k temperature compensation so you don’t have to worry about temperature changes changing your readings, OmniCal so you can change chainrings without recalibrating, Power Balance so you know your right and left powers, IPX7 waterproofness so you don’t have to worry about water crossing, and it’s accurate to +/- 1.5%. The battery is a 2032 coin cell and user replaceable. The unit sends out both Bluetooth and ANT+ signals, and can also read those signals for at-home firmware upgrades.
The arms are, of course, Carbon Tuned to be light, strong, and stiff. The DUB spindle requires a DUB bottom bracket; R&A carries them all, so no matter your bike, we can fit it. The Q-factor is 168.
There are two versions available of the SRAM XX1 Eagle Quarq DUB crank: conventional and Boost. Two crankarm lengths are available: 170 and 175mm.
