This is the 1x twelve-speed shifter that’s compatible with all SRAM’s Eagle derailleurs. It’s the GX Eagle Trigger Shifter, and it makes having a 1x system all the easier because it keeps the performance high and price down.
You have an aluminum shift lever for doing the heavy work. It’s light and durable. It rotates on a bushing to keep the component simple and a plastic release button which is nestled close to bar.
As is SRAM’s wont, the performance features that are found in their top-end gear are present on the value side as well. X-Actuation, which is how they keep shifting fast across the range of gears is present, as is their instant-engagement ZeroLoss tech. You move the lever, the derailleur responds.
Because they know that handlebars get crowded with controls, they’ve designed this shifter to pair up with their MatchMaker X Clamp system, included along with the bolts necessary to secure it. This can attach to a single clamp that also holds your Avid brake levers and RockShox lockout. The shifter also comes with a derailleur cable, though you’ll have to source the housing separately.
