Race Face Turbine Stem Info
The Race Face Turbine Stem looks like a traditional stem. It’s both more and less. The more is the machining of the faceplate and stem where they meet. The result is a plate that interlocks with the stem, improving the connection and increasing stiffness. The less is the weight reduction thanks to smart forging and extensive machining of the 7075 aluminum alloy component to make sure that this skeletonized shape can be overburdened without failure or even issue.
The stem is designed for cross country riding, but has strength to spare for harder-impact gravity-oriented pursuits. Riding the razor’s edge of control on rough terrain and high speed is no problemo.
The stem is designed to work with 31.8mm handlebar clamp diameter bars and 1 1/8” steerer tubes. It has a stack height of 39.5mm. The rise is +/- six degrees. There are four sizes: 60, 70, 90, and 110mm lengths. The 90mm version weighs 135g.
