US-Made Titanium and Six Generations of Vamoots Heritage
Moots has been building titanium frames by hand in Steamboat Springs, Colorado since 1981, and the Vamoots 33 carries the DNA of every road bike they've made. Six generations of the Vamoots name preceded this one — the Vamoots, Vamoots SL, Vamoots RSL, Vamoots Disc RSL, Vamoots CRD, and Vamoots RCS — and the 33 distills the best of each into a single platform built for today's all-road riding.
The frame is built from US-sourced 3/2.5 titanium, the same alloy that's made Moots frames synonymous with ride quality for decades. Tube diameters and wall thickness are tuned by size — not a one-size-fits-all approach to sizing — so that an XS frame and a 62cm frame both deliver the same ride characteristics that define what a Moots feels like. The all-road intent shows in the tire clearance: 38mm maximum, achieved through the carbon Moots allroad fork that ships with the frameset. That's enough room for 32mm training tires, 35mm all-weather rubber, or a full 38mm gravel-capable tire for exploring unpaved roads. The frame also accommodates full-coverage fenders, which makes the Vamoots 33 a legitimate all-season, all-weather road bike rather than a fair-weather machine that gets retired when conditions turn.
A 142x12 thru-axle rear end and flat-mount disc brakes handle stopping duties across all surface conditions. Each frameset ships with a Chris King Aeroset 3 headset with integrated Moots spacer — a $150+ component included as standard, not an upgrade.
