Giordana Men's FR-C Pro Tri Doppio Suit Info

The Giordana Men's FR-C Pro Tri Doppio Suit splits the difference between a one-piece skinsuit and a separate jersey-and-shorts kit. The top and bottom are sewn together at the waist, which keeps everything locked in place through the swim and run legs, while a full front zipper stays unattached from the seam so transitions stay quick. It's built for triathletes who want the aero advantage of a skinsuit without giving up the practicality of a two-piece.

The jersey uses Giordana's High Speed Light Lycra across the sleeves and front torso, woven with micro-stripes that act as trip wires to smooth airflow over the body, and it carries UPF 35+ sun protection for long days outdoors. The shorts switch to a medium-compression Lycra Power fabric treated with a DWR finish to shed water, rated UPF 50+. Contoured panels, internal silicone leg grippers, and wide 7.5cm Stay Put bands keep the fit secure through hours of movement without cutting in. A tri-specific chamois with an aloe vera-infused top layer is built for a suit that spends time wet, whether that's sweat, water, or both, and four-needle stitching throughout is meant to hold up to that kind of repeated stress.

Storage is split between two rear mesh pockets with side access, sized for gels, arm warmers, or a vest, and two front pockets built into the shorts for bars and gels you want within easier reach. The FR-C Pro Tri Doppio Suit is made in Italy and also available through the Giordana Custom program for riders who want personalized sizing or graphics. It suits triathletes racing sprint through long-course distances who want one suit that carries them from the swim start to the finish line without a wardrobe change along the way.

The RA Perspective

We like this suit for racers who don't want to think about their kit mid-race. The sewn waist seam does what it's supposed to — nothing shifts or bunches once you're out of the water and into the bike leg, and the zipper still gives you a fast, one-motion transition without fumbling.

The chamois is the standout piece here. It's built to perform wet, which matters more than people expect on a tri suit — a pad that only works dry is the wrong pad for this sport. Riders coming from a road-specific chamois will notice it's thinner, which is intentional, but that also means longer efforts off the bike (a marathon after an Ironman leg) ask more of it than a shorter sprint would.

The compression through the shorts is noticeable, more than in Giordana's road-specific FR-C shorts, and some riders like that extra hold on the run. Others who prefer a looser leg may want to try a size up.

We'd point this at intermediate to competitive triathletes doing sprint through half-distance races who want one suit for the whole day and don't want to spend time adjusting kit between legs.
