The ENVE SES 2.3 is a wheel for the rider who wants to dominate the mountains. These are the lightest wheels in the SES line, coming in at just over 1,200 grams for a set. ENVE’s expert carbon craftsmanship helped them achieve such low weight. Using continuously run fibers, tapering laminates, and removing excess material led to the lightest rim yet. They also targeted different characteristics for different zones, enhancing durability and stiffness in areas that needed it. The front wheel has a 28mm rim depth while the rear has 32mm, helping riders keep control in the varying wind conditions and descents of the mountains. The ENVE SES 2.3 is an incredibly lightweight wheelset, but they also focus on the stability and efficiency you need to make that low weight matter.
Optimized for tubeless tires with a hookless bead, riders can expect consistency all around their rim with precise fitting and excellent air retention. This also greatly reduces the odds of getting a pinch flat, which is the last thing a rider needs in the mountains. Further helping the efficient nature of the SES 2.3 is its Innerdrive Premium Road Hub. It is used on all ENVE SES and G-Series wheels and features oversized steel ratchets, reliable engagement, and reduced stress on an axle. It also offers 60 grams of weight savings compared to the previous hub and allows for consistent spoke lengths with anti-twist technology.
