Absolutamente nueva, con una estructura monocasco triple, representa el punto de encuentro entre evolución y tradición, diseño y practicidad. Un producto de competición genuino, ligero y reactivo, se ofrece en 6 tamaños con geometría arc-slope y en la versión estratificada personalizada. Su estructura mejora el rendimiento gracias a las vainas horizontales sobredimensionadas, y mejora el confort gracias al brazo oscilante ligeramente curvado y a los triángulos arc slope. La estabilidad de marcha está garantizada por la geometría inteligente y por la horquilla monocasco de carbono.

The RA Perspective

What stands out with the IDOL is how deliberately De Rosa stuck to its own construction details instead of following every trend in modern frame design. The threaded Italian bottom bracket is the best example — it's simpler to service than a press-fit shell, and we don't hear the creaking complaints on this frame that come up with a lot of current press-fit designs.

The integrated headset and proprietary seatpost give the frame a clean look, but they're also worth knowing about before you buy: this isn't a frame where you can swap in any generic seatpost off the shelf if you ever need a different setback or length. That's a small tradeoff for the fit and finish you get in return, but it's the kind of thing a rider should go in expecting rather than discovering later.

On the road, the arc-slope geometry and curved seat stays give it a ride that's composed without feeling harsh — De Rosa didn't build this as a full-aggro race-only frame, and it shows in how forgiving it feels over a long ride. It's confident at speed without punishing a rider who isn't racing every weekend.

We'd point this frame toward someone who already has a groupset and wheels in mind, wants genuine Italian construction with a threaded bottom bracket, and doesn't mind that this is a frame-only, final-sale purchase. It's a strong option for a rider building their own bike rather than someone who wants a complete build straight off the shop floor.
