Platform pedals finally get the Crank Brothers treatment and the result is typical CB. It’s a smarter, stronger, lighter pedal. These platforms come in sizes. There’s a Small and a Large, designed for the size of your foot.
Before we get to the sizes, a bit about the pedals. They start with a forged chromoly steel spindle. The spindle turns on igus LL-glide bearings. The pedal body is forged 6061-T6 aluminum. There are ten adjustable pins per side. The platform itself is concave, only 11mm thick in the middle, moving up to 13mm thick at the ends.
The Small is 100x100mm, weighing 345g and for feet sized 5-10 US (37-43 European sizing).
The Large is 114x111mm, weighing 375g. It’s for feet 10-15 US (43-49 European sizing.
All that thinking before you install the pedal. Once it’s threaded into your cranks, you go. The pedal holds your feet comfortably and securely, spins freely, and takes massive quantities of abuse.
