Crank Brothers Klic HV Air Pump w/ Gauge Info
Crank Brothers is out to demonstrate that a good mini pump rivals a floor pump. Their Klic HV Air Pump makes filling up your fat tires easy and fast.
There are three HV, high volume, versions: the simple HV, the HV with pressure gauge, the HV with gauge and CO2 head. These are pumps for mtb bike tires. Think anything with lower pressure and higher volume than road bike tires. If you have road bike tires to fill, check out the HP, high pressure. The difference between the two pumps is the HV has a wider barrel, thus moving more air per stroke.
All three share many basic features. The body is made of aluminum. There is a magnetic cover keeping the air exhaust port hidden from water and debris. The handle pulls out, exposes the hose’s hiding place and pivots into a T-shape for more powerful pumping. That hose is then pulled out, the magnetic cover over the air exhaust port is opened, the magnetic hose head then is guided into place and held-it holds in place up to the max tire pressure the pump is rated to. Then, you’ve got the pump head itself. It is reversible, from Presta to Schrader and vice versa.
They all come with a pump bracket to attach to your water bottle mounts. They can pump a tire up to 110psi (7.6 bar).
The HV is the simplest and lightest. It weighs 124g and is 220mm long.
The HV with gauge has a gauge built into the head, so you can eyeball the pressure as you’re pumping. It weighs 150g and is 260mm long.
The HP with gauge and CO2 head adapter weighs 186g and is 260mm long. You unscrew the handle, expose the CO2 head adapter and thread in the cartridge. It will work with any size threaded cartridge.
The pumps all come with a five-year warranty.
The Crank Brothers Klic HV pump means never fearing the flat tire.
