Cuadro Cipollini NK1K camuflaje Info

The Cipollini NK1K Camouflage Frameset was built by a sprinter, for sprinters — and that intent shows in every tube, junction, and design decision. MCipollini's NK1K is an uncompromising aero road frameset: high-modulus monocoque carbon, aggressive race geometry, aero tube shaping throughout, and a bottom bracket standard built for maximum stiffness. This is the Cipollini frame for riders who measure a good road bike by top-end speed and the ability to hold an aerodynamic position deep into a hard effort.

The frame is built from high-modulus monocoque carbon — the same T1000 Toray grade found in top-tier race frames — with construction that brings the entire main triangle out of a single mold rather than bonding separately manufactured sections together. The result is a consistent, predictable stiffness profile across the chassis. Multiple independent road tests have noted a claimed frame weight of 1,120g in size medium, which is competitive for a monocoque design at this level. The proprietary Cipollini NK1K carbon fork and matched carbon seatpost are included, shaped specifically to complement the frame's aero profile.

The geometry leaves no ambiguity about what the NK1K is built for. A 138mm head tube keeps the front end low. The 73.5-degree seat tube angle puts you in a long, aerodynamic position. The 405mm chainstay keeps the rear end tight and responsive. Aero details run throughout: the seat tube cutout draws the rear wheel close to the frame to smooth airflow, the downtube integrates directly into the fork crown to minimize turbulence, and the seatpost tensioning bolt is recessed into the top tube and covered with a carbon cap — keeping the cockpit clean with no protruding hardware. All cables route internally.

The BB386evo bottom bracket shell is worth understanding before you build. It's a wider standard than typical press-fit designs — natively accommodating 30mm spindle cranks and accepting 24mm spindle cranks with standard inserts. At the bottom bracket, where every watt of pedaling force passes through the frame, the extra bearing width and rigidity of BB386evo translates directly into more efficient power transfer under load.

Design Benefits

  1. High-modulus T1000 monocoque carbon — Toray T1000 is among the highest-grade carbon fiber used in road framesets. Combined with monocoque construction — no bonded junctions in the main triangle — it delivers consistent stiffness and load distribution across the full chassis.
  2. Coordinated aero detailing — Seat tube cutout, downtube-to-fork integration, internal cabling, and the recessed seatpost bolt aren't individual styling choices. They're a coordinated approach to reducing drag at every major airflow point on the frame.
  3. BB386evo platform — Wider bearing spacing than most press-fit standards means a stiffer, more direct interface between your cranks and the frame. Under sprint loads or sustained hard efforts, less flex at the BB means less energy lost.
  4. Aggressive race geometry — The 73.5-degree seat angle, 138mm head tube, and 405mm chainstay are not compromises. This geometry was designed to keep you aerodynamic, powerful, and positioned for speed on flat roads and in sprints.
  5. Matched carbon kit — The fork and seatpost are proprietary to the NK1K, shaped to extend the frame's aero profile rather than interrupt it. Running a generic fork or post on this frame would work — but you'd be leaving the design intent incomplete.

Final Take

The NK1K is not a frameset for every kind of riding. The geometry is demanding, the position is committed, and the ride character prioritizes stiffness and speed over comfort. But for riders who want a proper Italian aero race frameset — one built around high-modulus monocoque carbon, integrated aero shaping, and a BB386evo platform — the Cipollini NK1K Camouflage Frameset is the real thing. Available in size M only, Camouflage Grey.

The RA Perspective

The NK1K was MCipollini's flagship aero race frameset, and it shows in every detail — T1000 monocoque carbon, BB386evo, integrated aero shaping from the downtube to the seatpost bolt. We don't see many of these come through at this price, and at $2,999.99 for what retailed at $6,489, this is a legitimate opportunity for a rider who's been waiting to build up a proper Italian race machine.

The geometry is aggressive and unapologetic. The 73.5-degree seat angle and 138mm head tube will put most riders in a long, low position that rewards commitment. This isn't a bike you ease into on a casual weekend ride — it's a bike you take to your fastest group rides, your criteriums, or your personal segments where position and power matter equally. The stiffness is real: the BB386evo shell and monocoque construction mean power goes directly into forward motion when you sprint, with very little lost in frame flex.

Practical notes before you commit: this is rim brake only, so if your build is heading disc this isn't it. It's available in size M only — check the geometry chart carefully before ordering. And it's Final Sale, so we can't take it back. That said, a size M Cipollini NK1K in Camouflage Grey at this price deserves serious attention from the right rider.

We'd reach for the NK1K when the goal is maximum race performance and you want Italian heritage behind it. Mario Cipollini built a legacy on speed, and this frameset reflects that without compromise.
